Pete Peters Receives Prestigious Healthcare Executive Fellowship Designations

Grover "Pete" Peters has received two impressive professional designations within the healthcare industry - the FACHE and FACMPE designations.
As a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), Pete is a recognized leader among executives in healthcare management; has demonstrated competency in all areas of healthcare management; and shares a lifelong commitment to change and improvement. The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is an international professional society of more than 48,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations, all of whom are committed to improving health and strive for healthcare management excellence.
As a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE), Pete has demonstrated his mastery of the healthcare practice industry. ACMPE Fellowship is the most prestigious professional designation in the medical practice management community. As a Fellow, Pete has demonstrated his leadership in identifying key improvement areas for the sustainability and success of a healthcare organization in today's complex healthcare environment. The American College of Medical Practice Executives is the education arm of Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). The MGMA empowers practices, providers, and patients to create meaningful change in healthcare.
Pete has over 30 years of experience in healthcare administration, information systems management, legal and regulatory compliance, network design, payer model development, financial management, and business development. Pete's executive healthcare experience includes developing and managing hospital-owned and physician-owned integrated delivery networks, management services organizations, and multi-specialty medical groups and independent practice associations; drafting and negotiating statewide contracts with hospitals, physicians, and ancillary providers on behalf of a major health insurance company; and developing networks for both healthcare systems and commercial payers. Pete was instrumental in drafting some of the first legislation in the nation allowing physicians to own stand-alone emergency room facilities and micro-hospitals. He has also been responsible for the purchase and acquisition of insolvent healthcare facilities, developing corrective action plans for those facilities, and producing successful results within a short period of time.
Pete earned his J.D. from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law. He focuses on health law, including issues involving business and corporate law. Pete is also the Estate Planning and Asset Protection practice group lead. Pete represents clients in Washington and New Mexico.
